Can I use a wireless N card with only 2 antennas?

Well that's the question I asked myself last night and it looks like I can (according to 2 sources I read on the internet).  So with that in mind I'll be looking to replace my Intel Pro Wireless 3945ABG card with an Intel Pro Wireless 4965ABN (same size, interface etc).

Currently I can pull down 2.5MB/s over wifi so I'm hoping to see a marked improvement on this once I've got the N card installed and working, hopefully with the 2 antennas which are in my Vaio SZ5 laptop.

UPDATE: It works! My first test fluctuated between 6.0MB/s to 6.5MB/s but the second test ranged between 8MB/s and 11MB/s.  Think the card (from eBay) was definately worth £7 including postage!
